Industrial Manufacturing:
- Project planning, management and commissioning of new manufacturing operations or modifications to existing plant equipment and processes
- Supervision of third party contractors responsible for installation and commissioning of on-site equipment or processes in order to ensure compliance with contractual operational and performance agreements
- Technical and managerial troubleshooting of production processes throughout the manufacturing operation to highlight areas of concern and propose solutions to problems which affect efficiency, productivity, product loss and/orproduct qulaity
- Support in areas of technical control of the manufacturing operation, revision of existing controls, design and implementation of new controls, and training/retraining of the associated personnel
- Technical expertise in areas of body, glaze and decoration colour formulation, development and processing
- Technical and managerial support for new product development and coordination of activities with designers, in-house marketing personnel, product buyers and production personnel in the evaluation, development and implementation of new products into the manufacturing operation
- Training support throughout the manufacturing operation including the review of existing training practises, determination of training needs, design, implementation and control of training programs and, as required, one-one and one-to-many on the job practical training.
- Technical and managerial support in the design, implementation and supervision of factory based control documentation
Craft Based Manufacturing:
- Evaluation of hand-craft operations in order to propose solutions to lower wastage. improve efficiency, productivity and quality by the introduction of simple, industrial based, cost-effective solutions to the daily problems faced by this industry sector.
- Technical support in the compliance with regulatory requirements for the sale of ceramic products in overseas markets, particularly relative to the use of non-toxic materials in the forming and decoration of the product
- Technical support during the development of new products and their introduction into a craft-based manufacturing environment
Product Sourcing & Marketing:
- Technical support to product buyers and designers during the feasibility studies associated with translating designer ideas into product suitable for manufacturing
- Technical and managerial evaluation of the operational capabilities of prospective product suppliers to produce to the buyer's requirement in terms of quality, quantity, timescale and regulatory health and safety compliance
- Technical assistance support on behalf of the product buyer to prospective suppliers during the development and implementation of new products into their manufacturing environment
- Technical support to revise and police the suppliers quality control systems and quality standards of the finished product prior to shipping and upon delivery
Service Industries:
- Technical and managerial 'know-how' support to principal equipment suppliers during the installation and commissioning of manufacturing processes and plants
- Technical and managerial process training on behalf of the supplier
